Lyrics
Turbine Farm
I read they build wind turbines to provide green energy
To help protect the planet, the crickets and the bee’s
And every flock of bird flyin’ in the sky
But the gauntlet of those spinnin’ blades, ain’t no place to fly
There was once a time, I could see the stars and moon
Now I see red blinkin’ lights, flashing in my room
I hear they fertilize with a big tax subsidy
So guess that means a little piece belongs to you and me
Yea that’s a fine crop of turbines sproutin’ from the ground
Another one is standin’ every time I turn around
They tell they’re supposed to make the earth a darker green
But the one’s across the road, don’t look that green to me
Today the wind ain’t blowin’, so now they’re sittin’ still
At least my house is shaded by the last one that they built
Like weeds, they keep on growin’, til they fill up every farm
But rest assured you’ll never see one planted in my yard
Yea that’s a fine crop of turbines sproutin’ from the ground
Another one is standin’ every time I turn around
They tell they’re supposed to make the earth a darker green
But the one’s across the road, don’t look that green to me
Yea that’s a fine crop of turbines sproutin’ from the ground
Another one is standin’ every time I turn around
They tell they’re supposed to make the earth a darker green
But the one’s across the road, don’t look that green to me
Must be round-up resistant, ‘cause nothin’ slows ‘em down
That’s a fine crop of turbines, sproutin’ from the ground
